Cement: Vietnam output up 14.6 percent in first eight months of 2025
Vietnam’s cement production in August 2025 was estimated at 16.4 million tons, up from 15.9 million tons in July, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s National Statistics Office.
Output in August rose 17.8 percent year-on-year.
From January to August 2025, cumulative production reached 121.2 million tons, a 14.6 percent increase compared with the same period in 2024.
The double-digit gains highlight the role of cement in Vietnam’s construction boom, supported by public investment in roads, housing, and industrial facilities.
Exports have also contributed to growth, particularly to markets in Asia.
Cement remains one of Vietnam’s most important building materials, underpinning the expansion of both urban development and industrial capacity.
