Vietnam’s exports to Germany reached US$748.37 million in July, up 11.42 percent from June, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date exports stood at US$5.50 billion, led by machinery, electronics, textiles, and coffee.
Machinery exports edged up 3.23 percent to US$113.46 million, while computers and electrical products grew 24.31 percent to US$95.57 million.
Phones and parts surged 77.59 percent to US$72.23 million, offsetting a 7.98 percent decline in textiles and a 2.70 percent drop in footwear.
Coffee fell sharply by 23.78 percent to US$47.02 million but remained Vietnam’s single largest agricultural export to Germany.
Other strong performers included transport parts, cashew nuts, fishery products, handbags, and iron and steel products.
Fruits and vegetables grew 52.28 percent to US$7.25 million, while rubber jumped over threefold, albeit from a low base.
Pepper, cameras, and ceramics recorded notable declines.
Germany continues to be a key market for both Vietnam’s manufactured and agricultural goods.
Electronics and machinery accounted for over one-third of shipments, while coffee and footwear anchored consumer exports.
The data highlights Vietnam’s dual role as a supplier of industrial inputs and consumer goods to Europe’s largest economy.
