Tourism: Vietnam welcomes 191,942 European visitors in July, Russia leads growth
Vietnam received 191,942 European visitors in July 2025, up from 138,750 in June, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Arrivals from Europe in the first seven months of the year reached 1.34 million, a 31.8 percent increase compared with the same period in 2024.
Russia remained the largest source market with 55,289 visitors in July and 259,849 year-to-date, marking a 288.7 percent year-on-year surge in July.
The United Kingdom followed with 26,248 arrivals in July and nearly 200,000 in the January–July period, while France contributed 24,534 visitors in July and 173,754 year-to-date. Germany added 16,081 visitors in July, bringing its total to 150,850 over seven months.
Notable growth came from the Netherlands, where arrivals jumped 207 percent month-on-month in July, and Belgium, which recorded a 278 percent increase.
Denmark also showed strong growth with 4,536 arrivals, up 248 percent year-on-year.
The rising inflows from both major and smaller European markets reflect improved air connectivity and continued interest in Vietnam as a long-haul destination.
Russia’s outsized growth indicates a sharp rebound from previous years, supported by direct charter flights and package tourism offerings.
