Vietnam produced an estimated 1.60 million tonnes of gasoline and oil products in July 2025, up from 1.57 million tonnes in June, according to Vietnam’s National Office of Statistics.
Cumulative output for the first seven months of 2025 reached 10.47 million tonnes, up 7.6 percent year-on-year. July alone recorded a modest year-on-year increase of 1.7 percent.
The data underscores steady monthly growth and strong year-to-date performance, reflecting continued investment in refining capacity and resilient demand from transport and industry. Domestic production remains key to reducing reliance on fuel imports amid global oil price volatility.
Vietnam’s gasoline and oil sector continues to expand as part of its energy security strategy, though it also faces challenges in balancing domestic output with rising consumption and sustainability goals.
