Construction: Vietnam’s cement output rises 22.4 percent year-on-year in July
Vietnam produced an estimated 16.5 million tons of cement in July 2025, up from 16.1 million tons in June, according to Vietnam’s National Office of Statistics.
Cumulative production in the first seven months of 2025 reached 105.5 million tons, up 14.8 percent compared with the same period last year.
July alone posted a year-on-year increase of 22.4 percent, reflecting strong momentum in construction activity.
Vietnam’s cement industry has developed into a major global player, with the country ranking among the world’s largest producers and the second-largest exporter of cement and clinker.
The industry’s growth is driven by domestic construction projects and its robust export capabilities, though it faces challenges related to oversupply and market volatility.
