Vietnam’s aquaculture feed production in August 2025 was estimated at 861,800 tons, up from 855,700 tons in July, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s National Office of Statistics.
Output in August rose 16.9 percent year-on-year.
From January to August 2025, total production reached 6.32 million tons, an increase of 12.5 percent compared with the same period last year.
The strong growth reflects rising demand from Vietnam’s expanding aquaculture sector, particularly shrimp and pangasius farming for export.
The double-digit gains highlight the importance of aquaculture feed in sustaining Vietnam’s global seafood competitiveness.
Investments in feed mills and greater adoption of specialised feed formulas are supporting both productivity and export quality.
Aquaculture feed is now one of the fastest-growing segments of Vietnam’s feed industry, underpinning the country’s position as a leading seafood exporter.
