The Bolivian government is actively targeting the Chinese market to expand its chia seed exports and establish a strong trade network. To achieve this goal, Bolivia has completed 90% of the procedures required to initiate chia exports to China and plans to finalize the export protocol in the second half of this year, according to the Bolivian ambassador to China. The increasing demand for chia as a healthy superfood, favorable production conditions in South America, and high export demand are positioning the region as a global hub for chia seeds. Argentina is the Major Importer of Chia Seeds in the Region
Argentina holds a prominent position in South America's chia seed market through its significant production, imports, and consumption patterns.
